The muse in this composition is contemplating where to sleep. Naturally, I used to catch sleep usually after dinner. But now, with my new work behavior, that time comes when I am most inspired to be in studio painting. I grew up knowing that sleep is a basic need but for me, going to bed has become an option.
Some times I take a nap in the studio couch, and that’s sleep for the day. This work is part of my “Complacency series." - Doddridge Busingye
